Hydraulic brakes aren't just for the sloppy conditions of the Northwest. They're good whenever you need good, hard, controlled braking. This fully hydraulic system is approximately 25% more powerful than other hydraulic rim brakes, with a 14mm master piston and two 14mm slave pistons. Aluminum levers with forged 2-finger lever blades and an on-the-go pad wear adjuster.

Pros:
Great modulation and stopping power. Great alternative to disc when your frame doesn't have tabs, or without building a new wheel. Once they're set up and adjusted you can forget them
Cons:
Time consuming to setup/adjust
Time Used:

I'm riding a 3 year old set of these breaks which have never been bled. They work like they just came out of the box

Pros:
Outstanding breaking power w/ minimal effort. Simple to upkeep and change pads. Extreemly well mannered in even the most hard breaking - in wet/dry/snow/mud conditions.
Cons:
Like any rim brake, junk/mud can build up around the pads. Doesn't really affect performance noticably.
Time Used:
More than 2 years

I'm using the HS-24 they sell in Europe (pretty much the same thing - and was turned on to them by a friend - Great stuff!
