Selle Italia Oktavia Genuine Gel
Number of Reviews:   2
Average Rating:

Rear "wing-style" suspension system allows saddle flex to smooth the ride without addtitional weight or bulk. Elastomer-laminated nylon base and perforated leather cover with gel inserts ensure top comfort for long, comfortable rides.

Pros: Light. Pro's need to be at least 20 characters long, I have nothing else to say, although, under the saddle looks like it should be a good seat
Cons: Hard saddle compared to other good saddles, not sure about how much 'gel' is used. No movement on the rails, the stop markers give you about half a centimetre of movement. The smooth surface of my saddle is no good for tri's if you're a 'jump on the saddle running' becuase you'll slip off the other end with no markings on the leather..
Time Used: Just Once
Comments: Had good experiences with Selle Italia saddles but not this one, noticeable after one ride. Buy either a better Selle Italia saddle or a no name brand for the same price rather than this one
Rating: 2
Recommendation: No I would not recommend it to a friend

Pros: Well made as you would expect for a $70 saddle from Selle Italia, Light and strong. Classic Italian styling, Gel is welcome and needed by most that are not Lance Armstrong wannabes!
Cons: The stitching can be irritating even through padded shorts, even though they claim gel is used I think I have gotten more gel from a peice of Freshen Up gum!
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Everyone is built different, sitbones are also, some wider, others more angled, for the $$,,rather BIG $$$ I recommend try before you buy, just because it did not earn a permanent job on my bike does not mean it will not on yours, it is quality, but so is Cannondale and I don't like them either!
Rating: 3
Recommendation: No I would not recommend it to a friend
