Odyssey Apache Full-Face Helmet
Number of Reviews:   1
Average Rating:

The new ODYSSEY APACHE FULL FACE HELMET is ideal for downhill or racing. It offers a high degree of protection from even the worst wipe-out or unplanned dismount. Comes in handy in a high speed accident. It comes in Red or Blue, and in Small (54-56cm), Medium (56-58cm), and Large (58-60 cm).

Pros: - good looking helmet - great visibility - fairly light weight - ventilates very well - chin strap stays buckled
Cons: - The chin of the helmet extends a little further than necessary, making looking over the shoulder a tad uncomfortable. - The foam does loosen a tad over time and and shift around - The chin protection feels rather thin
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I purchased this helmet for downhill skateboarding, and it is a great alternative from buying expensive paragliding helmet that is so popular in this sport. This helmet will take multiple hits and last. Some people may be concerned about the high neck line on the back of the head, but the egg pointed shape at the back prevents from the neck being injured because it hits first. Breathability is great, and if you want to fit a homemade shield on it, you can easily slide it inside the helmet and wedge it in between the foam and the outer shell. This is a great helmet, and has kept me alive in many close calls.

Recommendation: No I would not recommend it to a friend
