Pros: Light, stiff, responsive full-suspension. Low maintance, only one pivot. Masses of mud clearance, important in UK. Fully adjustable saddle height. Enjoy's every terrain, doesn't even mind climbing. Ultra stiff semi-monocoque frame and swing arm, with a nice big pivot. Finishing kit is good, Hope Mini's and Hub's, RaceFace cranks and rings, Shimano shifting. Orange riser's, stem and pin, good no-nonsense kit.
Cons: A little extra maintenance - checking rear shock and SINGLE(!) pivot, over a hardtail. But we like a little fettling don't we. Didn't like the saddle - too spongey changed it for my old Flite. Didn't like the Manitou Black's so changed them for Pace Pro-Class II (Lock-out). Matt paint finish can be difficult to keep clean. Disappointed by rearward facing seat clamp.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: Model: Sub 5 Pro, with upgrade to SID XC Lock-out rear shock & changed forks to Pace Pro-Class II (Lock-out). Will change stem, bars and pin soon, just to make it my own bike. A brilliant all round Trail bike, equally at home on singletrack (which it loves, tracks like a dream) as it is on an 90km+ epic. The bike just asks to be pushed hard - harder and faster than I can pedal. Makes singletrack amazing. Ideal if you ride in muddy areas like UK, so if it can work here it can cope with anything.
Rating: 5
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
