Pros: The pedaling is very efficient for the amount of travel it has. Good travel, solid frame.
Cons: poor part spec. I would appreciate less Specialized OEM parts.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: This bike is great if you plan to uprade over time. It works great out of the box but has a lot of room for improvement so you can get new and better parts as you have the $.

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend

Pros: strong frame, good standover, very efficient pedaler, versatile, dependable frame.
Cons: specialized parts are lame, weak wheelset, longstem, horrible seat, stem too long, cheap fork.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Overall I like the bike but I have already ripped a pedal out of the crank(specialized), trashed the rear rim. I swapped a shorter stem and it made a huge difference. I am going to swap the fork next-it's ok just want a better performer. The frame design rules and can take all the abuse you can dish. I ride in the N.W. mud alot and love the dependability and also the disc brakes. I would definitely pony up for the pro next time for the better parts spec.
