Pros:
So stiff, in every side. With Romic Shox, and Fox 36 Talas, the limitation of this bike is me, not the bike. Decends anything. ANYTHING. It brings a new MTB experience. On accent, it is not like a hardtail of course, but can get pretty easy if you put an XTR or X0 kit, as I did. Also, with this configuration the bike gets some 2 inches taller than ALL others.
Cons:
Too expensive. No other complains...
Time Used:
More than 2 years
Comments:
Buy an El Saltamontes and never look back (except to see if your frisnds are too way behind). I bought mine used, almost new, from a friend (these frames last forever) so did not pay the ridiculous price they ask. Even so, it is worth it if you have the money....

Bought it with mid rage kit and still feels like a million dollar ride

Pros:
stable and fast. good lookin machine.
the quad bearing set up is realy burly. all the fancy machining and engraving are very nice. tracks like no bike i've ever ridden. climbs very well and bombs down hiil. lots of fun.
Cons:
little on the heavy side of things, about 34 lbs.
Time Used:
6 Months
Comments:
i had a kona bear. i took it apart to replace the bearings, a few times. and it didn't fit together well, way out of alignment. the ventana is a presise machine. exactingly put together. very impressive. the machined bb is beautifull.
i run the romic 6" rear, its a heavy bike. 34 lbs, set up with heavy pieces that are hard to break.
i am bound to destroy it. but i'm in love.

I have ridden mtbs since 1986 and this is one of the best bikes I have owned(If,Ibis,Santa Cruz,Moots...).The company is a joy to deal with, the product is a blast, esp in the rough.I ride in British Columbia,Washington and Utah(aggressive cross country)about 3 or 4 times a week and have no regrets.
