Pros: Full suspension, rear coils, looks nice... sturdy, lasted through a canadian winter with very little rust or problems. V-brakes, decent
Cons: HEAVY... shimano tourney derauiler, did I mention it was heavy?
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I'm not much of an MTB expert but this is a sturdy bike, althouhg it's REALLY heavy, roughly 50 lbs, the suspension is actually quite decent, rear suspension coil is adjustable... this bike is decent, although I now wish I had purchased a lighter bike without dual suspension from a bike shop. Still good for a beginner who is willing to get it tuned at a bike shop every 6 months. for the price, there are lot better bikes, don't let the full suspension fool you, it's a heavy mother fucker but still a good bike if maintained well

Pros: Strong tube, perfect weight. Looks good, easy to ride and takes a beating.
Cons: standard chain guard gets brittle quickly and ends up being removed anyway. Head shocks need regular maintenance.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I've put my bike through the grinder and the frame is still undamaged. The unique shape of the F500 gets lots of attention too. I love my Cannondale.

Pros: Excellent handling and durability.
Cons: Base package components were a bit sub-par
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I've been riding this bike for several years. Before this I owned Schwin "homegrown" Trek and specialized and I am now a die hard Cannondale fan. I don't do maintainence the way I know I should and I beat the hell out of it. I would strongly recommend regular maintanence of the HeadShok to avoid it seizing up.

Pros: This is a great free ride bike. It's strong, light and almost indestructible. I've been doing nine footers for about a year and it hasn't cracked.
Cons: Wide tubing. This really doesn't bother me but nothing really came to mind.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: This is a great bike for whatever. I've won XC races and mountain cross races on this bike. Also great for free riding.

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
