I bought the bike for £200 in a clearance sale. It had budget shimano gearing mixed with cheap sram shifters, heavy, weak wheels, useless suntour forks, crap brakes and the worst saddle I have ever had the pleasure of parking my rear on! But that frame.....man that frame - A butted 7006 aluminium frame that comes in at around 3.5Ib with that classic Kona ride!!! I would have paid the £200 asking price just for the frame. 3 months down the line with Deore gearing, Hope Mini brakes, X517 wheels, Duke XC air forks....and a new seat all added, I have a sub 25Ib bike that is so trick it is unbelievable. Kona rules.
