I purchased a m600 in 03, love the frame
no problems with it at all
Cons:
didnt like the lx componants that came on it or the judy shock, disc brakes not the best either
Time Used:
More than 2 years
Comments:
was time to buy a new bike, didnt find one i liked as much as my m600, so i put the money into upgrading the outdated parts on it, went sram x7 front derailer x9 rear, x9 shifters, race face crank, and easton bars, seatpost, wtb seat, just perfect for the single tracks and trails i love to ride

I'm not a raleigh fan, because I spent alot of money on a m650 after the m600 and it turned out to be a shit piece of scrap, it broke in places I didn't know existed. the only thing on that bike that was not replaced/upgraded was the frame. It was also very heavy, enough about the m650 lets go onto the m600. I used the m600 to ride to school and back five times a week. It was never used on heavy off road, the odd trail here and there but nothing hardcore, it remained with me for about 3 years. But the moral of the story is-never buy a raleigh mountain bike-they are just plain shit

Pros:
The price is what they use to pull you in
Cons:
The bike! If you have any intention of riding this bike on real trails forget it. On my third ride I waffeled a tire. The disc brakes didn't even lock the tires up. {Later they were recalled} The whole bike is sub par.

3 Months

If you want a bike to ride back and forth to class then this is the bike for you. But then it becomes kind of pricey.Personally I would stay away from all Raliegh montain bikes@!
