Pros:
good looking set of brakes and easy set up
Cons:
i own a set of hope mono mini brakes and they are the best hope brakes ive had. the only problem is that you have to bleed them, but you have to bleed all hydrolic brakes.

Comments:
I have got a set of hope mono brakes on my flow drift dirt jump bike and these are the most reliable bikes i have ever used. i have only had to bleed them once in the last year and these are the easiest set of brakes i have bleed. id recomend them to anyone, expecially dirtjumpers/ hardtailers. =]

Pros:
Looks nice, light but sorry I am unhappy from the Hope - need hope to make them work.
Cons:
I am the owner of 2 sets of Hope mono mini 2006.
Unfortunately, during the last 24 months that I own them I am facing allot of problems with the Hope mono mini breaks:
•front brake was locked twice – not during riding, took the bike off the car, got on my bike and the wheel did not role (I do not take the wheel off during transportation).
•rear break got 3 times over heated and locked during XC ride.
•Twittering Sounds from the brakes on regular basis.
•Rear break does not provide breaking power.

Pros:
Great stopping
Easy set up
solid
Cons:
None really, MUST set them up properly or they squeel and overheat
Time Used:
3 Months
Comments:
Very good stoppers, haul my 190lbs to a halt easily. Great in mud and rain. All those that have problems with these have either not set them up properly or broken in the pads correctly. you MUST get them square on and centred properly

Pros:
Light and very pretty.
Cons:
Disc rotors are too flimsy with a too small surface area.
They overheat and fade.
Always get sticking pistins and the stock pads are poor.
Time Used:

Comments:
This is a brake that almost gets there but fails enough to make me look elsewhere. You have to get the biggest rotor sizes to get enough power on long descents, without excessive heat build and brake fade. They always have lazy pistins that stick in the wet. Would have been a great brake 6 or 7 years ago but today most X-Country bikes are full suspension with even the hardtails having 4" plus of Fork travel and speeds have gone up as a result so brake power must go up. I thought these babies would be great but they are no way near as good as the Hope Mini Discs that they are suppose to replace.
