Thomson Elite Post
Number of Reviews:   3
Average Rating:

The post that re-wrote the standards for strength and lightweight! Extruded and machined one-piece pillar/lower cradle-not bonded like other designs! No layback.

Pros: Stylish and sexy! The "Jaguar" of seatposts.
Cons: Forward tilt is a bit awkward to adjust.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Everyone knows that Thomson is one of the best. If you prefer Grey Poupon over regular mustard, this is the post for you.

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend

Pros: Killer looks, Strong and Light. Totally complements my bike's Black and polished aluminum combo.
Cons: None so far.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: It's tops when it comes to manufacturing excellence and simplicity in design. It's very strong but light (it's 41g lighter than my old post, a 6061-T6 Amoeba). It's not the lightest though if you're a weight weenie. I have never experienced andy loosening that the other reviewer mentioned. Maybe he should try torquing or using Loctite.

Pros: Popular brand if you're into name dropping. Pretty light.
Cons: The thing keeps coming loose. I've spent countless hours on the trail tightening the stupid two-bolt clamp design.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I rode it for years dealing with the hassles of tightening my seat every ride. I finally wised up and got a new post. Eveyone swears by these things, but it just never worked for me.

Recommendation: No I would not recommend it to a friend
