Pros: Really sharp handling for a DH rig. Superb suspension platform (9.5 inches of rising rate travel). Adjustable travel and headangle settings. Pedals amazingly with no feedback. I got it cheap from Covebike. Built like a brick shithouse.
Cons: Built like a brick shithouse! It's heavy, even for DH frame. Single pivot frames ain't good with braking bumps.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: I've had this bike for about a month now having bought it in Canada and brought it back to the UK - and I absolutely love it! Cove make some awesome bikes, and this is no exception. It has really heavy construction, but that means that it's not going to break. Alot of DH bikes (from the USA) have multi pivots and pussy bearings. Cannuck, Kiwi, and British bikes are designed for mud and an abusive (long) life - not everyone lives and rides in dusty Southern California! You only have to look at the meaty swingarm pivot bearing (four internal bearings) to know that this thing means business. Despite it's weight, it's handling is amazing. Mainly due I think to the steep head angle, which I like cos it makes steering sharp through tight wooded sections. The suspension is constant and assured. Big hits are really soaked up like no other bike I have ridden. If you're looking for a really solid full sus bike that's gunna take everything you're gunna throw at it - this is for you!!
Rating: 5
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
