Pros:
Great XC Frame. Lightweight and strong where it counts.
Cons:
Mechanical Disk Brake. I put Deore hydraulics on and braking is much better.

This is my 2nd 2006 K2 Attack 2. The first one was stolen in Vegas. After researching many bikes in the $600 to $1500 range. I decided to buy another K2 Attack and build it up even better.
I did just that and luv my ride.

Pros:
Bike rides and handles great.The suspension handles bumps well.
Cons:
The front derailer may or may not shift to high gear. The stock seatpost on the large frame is too short for a 6 ft. rider.

Problem with factory assembly of one of the suspension joints when new. Local dealer (REI) says they are put on hold and can can never reach K2 when trying to order parts for K2 bikes. The bike has been good on trail riding. The suspension works well. It should be checked and lubed regularly. Fun bike to ride.

Pros:
Frame seems sturdy, price is decent,suspension works well
Cons:
climbs like Jimmy Hoffa, Stock shifters and ders. are crap.

This bike floats downhill and seems quite solid. I like the Velociraptors. I scrapped the rear der. in favor of a short cage XT. It now shifts much better. Climbing can be gruesome but this is my first dualie, so take that with a grain of salt. I think its a good upgradable bike for the $600 I paid.- DF
