Pros: Stiff frame, responsive handling. Just enough suspension to take the edge off, no more. Steers telepathically, climbs like a mountain goat. Beautiful to behold!
Cons: Middling components, poor brakes. I've heard that heavier riders may not like the low-spoke-count wheels.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I've been riding this for almost 2 years, and am still loving this bike. I upgraded the cheap brakes almost immediately, and then the stem, seatpost and fork. I'm getting a new drivetrain bolted on now (bent the crank...) The frame won't be outclassed by any components I add. This bike has been the chief reason I fell in love with mountain biking. Highly recommended!

Pros: Very stiff with no detectable lateral flex. Awesome climber, even on steep hills covered in large roots, rocks and ruts.
Cons: Drive train components do not match up well. I should have upgraded to an all Shimano drive train. This is the only thing stopping the 5 star rating.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: The bike has a confidence inspiring ride. This is a short travel suspension bike. I keep the Fox Float rear shock soft and there is little bob when hammering. Excellent design. The key to getting the most out of this bike is getting the right fit. Off just a bit and you notice it. But once you get it right, ohhh its sweet.

Pros: Great Handling. Responds faster than you do! and that paint job, wow! I stare at this bike more than my own girlfriend! Hell, this bike is awesome for XC!
Cons: Components are on the weak side. Paint chips easy :( A little pricey as well, unless you can get a good deal on it.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Overall, this bike rocks! I do about 30-40 miles a week and this thing is pretty solid at handling everything I have thrown at it. Rides like a dream. Knows what you are doing before you even do! It is so quick and responsive it is unbelievable. Definitely one of the best XC bikes out there...
