Comments:
this is a great bike, if you are a clysdale like me make sure the rear suspension shock is in proper working orger, and oh yeah, once you put over five hundred miles on it, it will crack on you.

Pros:
Light yet stiff; cool looking; traditional bike shape; price (cheap for full suspension; American bike (go Armstrong); rear shock technology-no pedal bobbing
Cons:
No disc brakes (they gotta keep the price down!)
Time Used:
Less Than A Month
Comments:
Upgraded from Trek 6700 & must spread word... full suspension rocks! W/Fuel 90 (2004) it feels as if someone is "pushing" you up the hills. No kidding, dam thing climbs better than a hard-tail & you don't get thrown off your seat when going over !@#$; you expend a lot less energy ect... Really, $1500 is cheap for this technology.

Pros:
It is nice light wieght bike that has duel suspention. You can ajust the rear suspention to how stiff you want it. It is a great bike for those trails that have the big drop off's and jumps.
Cons:
There is nothing I think that they should change about they did it right the first time it is asume.
Time Used:
6 Months
Comments:
I do trail ridding every day in my back yard during the summer. I have some nice big jumps back there and some at least 3 foot droop off's that without the fuel it was painful to do them. Pluse it is nice light weight for how much stuff it is on this bike which even makes it better.

Pros:
Amazing Bike. Adjusting the suspension is real easy. No bobbing. Great breaking. Quick shifts.
Cons:
When shifting bike jolts. I have a creaking noise in the crank. The bontrager Jones AC (Stock tires) suck.

Comments:
Was originally looking for hardtail, but test road the Fuel 90 and fell in love with it. This baby climbs like a goat and cruises on the flats almost as fast as my road bike. Worth the extra money over hardtail. Had some trouble with the chain jumping off the front sproket at first but seems OK now that I know about it. Components pretty good, but if I really had the bucks I'd upgrade to XTR, but if I had the buck I'd get the Fuel 98 also.
I've ridden on everything from steep, technical, dirt roads, and streets. This is definitly a cross country bike, that performs pretty good in freeride or downhill terrain.
Overall a real sweet piece of aluminum!

Pros:
Great climber, dual travel fork, no "bob"
predictable high speed handling.
Cons:
Stock springs in the Black Fork are wimpy
for any rider over 140 pounds. Stock tires blow.
Time Used:
3 Months
Comments:
I didn't ride this bike out of the shop until the tires, and bars were traded out
with WTB Velocoraptors and a straight bar. The heavy duty spring kit for the Black arrived a week later and made a vast improvement.
I immediately took the bike out for an all day trek at Cave Run in Ky. I quickly felt right at home on the bike.
This bike replaced a stolen '99 Fisher Joshua, by comparison the Fuel climbs like a hardtail, descends with stability and allows me to go farther, faster and higher than my old ride !!
