OK, I take back my previous comment. After using the bike for longer period of time, I am very happy. Been doing a lot of single track stuff and the bike handles well. Can''t beat it for the price.

OK Bike, looks really good in the catelog.
Cons:
Rode it for the first time. Handle bars are crap (10mm) and the seat pole is junk. I moved the seat up once and the paint is fading already!

I just got back into mountain biking. Bought a Scott in 1995 and I rode the heck out of it. Gave it away when I had to move. The KHS feels a little hollow/ not very solid. I am 5"8" and the dealer talked me into a 15 inch frame, going to demand that he give me a 17". Frame puts you too forward on the bike. Came with the SRAM 5 set up. OK...gave me smaller tires than the catelog indicated, going to get that changed too!

Great bike for less than 500 bucks. I would definatly recommend looking into this brand (KHS) before throwing away your hard earned money on something like Gary Fisher or Trek. They have something for everyone

Pros:
Perfect for trail riding. Comfortable and shifts great! Front suspension is just right, and I'm 6'3" 215lbs. Gearing is excelent for climing and great top end speed. Factory seat is really comfortable. Don't think I'd use it for serious abuse, but for the general rider...awesome!
Cons:
Brakes could be better, compared to Rocky MountainFusion ($400 more), the brakes lack a little for hard stops.

Awesome bike...the flat paint gives it a real sharp look...would highly recomend for the general person, and great buy for $500 with for a hardtail with dual disc brakes, comfort and to get you out there!
