Pros: Light weight, generally good spec of componentry.
Cons: Major problem with rear wheel. Rims too flimsy, tires too lightweight.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Paid $1100 in January 2004, seemed a good deal at the time - since then proven not to be the case. Rear wheel repeately springs free of frame on intermediate downhill terrain. Has caused crashes, wipeouts. This has never occured with previous bikes. Replaced skewers: this made no difference. Rims very light and easily deform. Tires (Kenda Klimate Lite) to flimsy, need to be replaced for wet or muddt trails.

Pros: Light weight, good component spec, good upgradeability
Cons: hard tails are fading, rims look suspect
Time Used: Just Once
Comments: Demo'ed this one. It looks great. Very compelling purchase. Disc hubs simplify upgrade. Did I mention light weight (under 21 lbs!) The front for is RST (aerosa), but other reviewers think pretty highly of it.
Rating: 4
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
