Pros: Great bike. Still have the shimano Deore gearset on it. Love the ride. This is one tough bike
Cons: The first seat had to be replaced
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I have had mine since May of 1989. I has been the best bike I have ever owned. It has around 5k on the bike and it is as sound as the day I bought it in Richmond, Ca. I still have the Biopace rings on it and had to only replace the middle one once. What ever bike you buy you will know you are getting a quality bike Thanks Trek

Pros: This bike is a crotch-rocket. It has made my life so much better. Mine is a 2003 model. The moment I started riding this bike I immediately became a much better rider, which has led me to believe that, it is the bike, and 'also' the rider. Handbuilt, completely in the US.
Cons: The tires are a con. The Rockshox Duke xc is, at best, barely acceptable. My friend Justin at CycleSport in Chico, CA gave me his old Marzucci Atomic shock, and oh boy: life got even better!
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: It is a good deal. I am very happy with this bike.

Pros: Carves up tight singletrack, technical bits, perfect geometry to get it up and over anything
Cons: Front fork (Judy SL) seems to have developed a 'ping' in the internals - though it has been abused a little.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: Bought it with upgraded Bontrager Race rims, RaceFace crankset etc. Great all-around bike for weekend warriors with a love for the sport and a proclivity for the odd 24 hr event.

Pros: This a greatly constructed bike. I have used it mainly with twisty single track but also with some longer dirt trails.
Cons: Front fork suspension has limited travel and can be easily flexed under hard power output.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: It is a great bike. I have been using it for about 6 years. It is very comfortable.
Rating: 4
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
