Pros: nice superstrong frame, good wheels, strong rims and strong pedals. It also has a good stem and handlebar.Good seatpost.
Cons: The grips wear out after a while, derailleris isn't that good and shocks aren't the best. The brakes should be upgraded.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: This bike will with stand most stuff like ledges, medium size drops, dirtjumps and trails. I would recommend that you upgrade the crank and maybe the shocks or brakes. I upgraded to a single speed with a tensor and its great.

Pros: nice dimensions, really easy to maneuver, beefy tires are awesome, dual duty rims
Cons: cranks really suck, dont have too much against the v brakes, the thing isnt intended for much more than some jumps and trails.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: overall i'd say its a descent bike especially for someone new to the sport looking for somthing to play around on. pronly not the best choice for someone looking to go big on it.

Pros: Beefy frame, wheels, and tires
Cons: The componentry is horrible, and i dont even wanna talk about the cranks. v brakes have to go. Fork isnt the best in the world
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: If you wanna spend the extra money in upgrades it wouldnt be a bad bike. the frame, wheels, and tires are great. its just the other things that go along with it. i eventually had almost $1400 in it total. the dealers make this bike out to be the best bang for your buck but in the end its not worth it at all.

Pros: Frame is bombproof. Geometry is good, Some good components.
Cons: Front derailer, crank and bottom bracket suck. V-brakes suck, upgrade to disc.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: This thing is nasty. The frame is so beef. If you can brake the frame, which I doubt you can, the Trek dealer says that they'll replace it for free. 26X2.4 tires, dual duty rims, disc ready hubs and Bontrager Earl components kick are great. The Suntour components are crap (front derailer, crankset and bottom bracket). The front derailer's engagement is far from good. Left crank broke the second time I rode it, took the BB with it, replace with an ISIS set up. 120mm Insync (Spinner) Edge fork is OK but will eventually need upgrading. The geometry of this bike is great, makes obsticles almost too easy to clean. Scrap the stock V-brakes, they won't stop you, get disc. the bike is set up for them anyways. Bottom line, If you want a strong hardtail freeride frame that you can afford and upgrade as you break things, than this bike is perfect. Excellent for the entry level rider. I give it a 4 because even cheap components should last more than 2 rides.
