Discover the first Mag trainer with progressive resistance. The resistance level is automatically based on the rider’s cadence and wheel speed. How does it work? Three incredibly strong “rare earth” magnets and three custom-wound progressive coil springs are placed inside the flywheel. As the flywheel rotates at slow speeds, these springs force the magnets inward toward the center of the flywheel. As wheel speed increases due to increased cadence or gear change, centrifugal force causes the magnets to move radically outward. The movement of the magnets changes the position at which torque is applied, automatically increasing the resistance. Very clever!
