Pros: very lightweight, excellent racer, excellent climber, superior front fork
Cons: 2.7" rear travel requires skill and finesse on highly technical areas
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I bought my 1000 in 2003 and love this bike. Whoever wrote that the Lefty fork is not stable while turning left is most likely a Huffy factory rep or someone who really doesn't ride off the paved bike paths. Just the opposite, the Lefty is torsionally very stiff which is good, because the wheel tracks straight and true while cornering. The Lefty is very plush over the chatter bumps but handles the big hits very well. This bike is designed for cross-country racing and is not the bike for hucksters and downhillers. Mine is under 25 lbs and out performs all of my friends' bikes in climbing, sprinting, and low-speed technical riding.
Rating: 5
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
