Pros: This bike can take a beating. The suspension is unbeleivable, you can jump off a building if u wanted to (literally but i wouldnt recommend it) and the bike would be fine. I mostly trail ride and i take it up to vermont for some downhilling too and it performs above and beyond my expectations.
Cons: The only problem with the bike is its pedalling uphill, its suspension is not built for cross country trail riding so it makes for a really good leg work out.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: For its value it is the best full suspension bike on the market even now. I have been riding for 5 years and have rode a number of high end, full suspension bikes from cannondale to kona and I liked the disco monkey much more than all of them. If you think that spending alot of money is the only way to get a good full suspension bike, you can spend 1500$ and get a bike thats worth ten times that amount

Pros: Responsive Shifting, incredible braking (my first time on discs), SUPER plush suspension. Hopping on this bike is really easy because of this. It seems to toss you up in to the air. It looks cool too! It doesn't get much gnarlier (nice word right?) than this.
Cons: The bike is pretty heavy. I'll give you that. Also, standing and pedaling makes it bob A LOT. Psylo's are definitely stealing some of my kinetic energy here. I change the travel setting and it helps a little, but not a lot. I need to sit down to pedal. Coming from a XC hard tail, this was a bit of adjustment.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I stopped riding for a couple years and focused on bodybuilding. I am now (the largest of clydsdales) 235 pounds and this bike handles it VERY well. The suspension doesn't sag too much under my weight, but like I said it bobs when I stand am jam the pedals. That might be a weight thing for me, specifically. The bike feels extremely solid and lends to an overall confident feeling in the snow (which is the only place I have gotten a chance to ride it, here in Clifton Park NY). I am going to beat this bike savagely this summer, and I will definitely post another review here if it fails me. Overall, so far I feel that I have gotten the greatest balance of value/performance/durability possible for myself. I give this bike the highest rating. Write me if you want have questions. info@offsite-it.com
