I bought just the frame from a guy and I have been building up off of it. So far, I have a RockShox Reba Race PLA fork Chris King NoThreadSet, of course Easton bar and stem, Mavic XC717 rims with Hope XC disc hubs, Maxxis Mobsters, Thompson elite post, and Sram X.9 gear components all around. It is my first Full Suspension XC bike and I love it.

Pros:
Durable frame, excellent neutral set up geometry and singletrack mannners. Decends very well.
Cons:
Factory set up in 99 when I got it had the Formula MD-1 discs and Formula hubs and they stink. Replaced them with XT discs and Hayes hubs and no problems for over 2 years.

I love this bike as an all day XC back in the mountains bike. It's held up to over 4500 trail miles and I've never had a problem with it after replacing the items mentioned above. I'm so use to this bike it never suprises me out on the trail with bad handling or any other qwerks.
