Pros: Shifting is great, very smooth. goes well through potholes at a lower speed. Brakes are great. Sram X4 drivetrain is awesome. Great thumb shifters. Awesome for trails. Very easy to pedal uphills. Can ride on any terrain.
Cons: no kickstand, (so what, just buy one) a little unstable at high speeds. Needs new tires for very serious terrains.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: I have had the Diamondback Sorrento for a week. I have ridden it 20 miles so far and I have had no problems with it at all. It is a very good bike for the price. My dad tried this bike and now he wants one. For anyone who loves bike racing, I strongly reccomend this bike. It has beaten my previous dual suspension bike in both downhill and uphill tests and a very good choice vs. the lukewarm and mediocre competition. A much better bike than cheaper models.

Pros: excellent price! for anyone getting into mtb!! just picked my ''08 sorrento up. bike came with shimano everything as well. alot of riders in the feedback are saying the bike is heavy, mine is light to me.
Cons: so far no cons from me yet, i guess i will see in a month or 2 from riding it.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: once again excellent price anywhere from $300 or less is a great buy for this mtb. Love riding it!!

Pros: Strong frame, decent tires and rims, very good price/value ratio.
Cons: Pedals, seat, no bar horns
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: I''ve been beating this thing across the hills of Annadel SP in Santa Rosa for more 3 years and no parts have fallen off, though I have. Fork is weak, though most other parts are generally ok for a beater, and it shifts well will some TLC Tough. Decent brakes. Good enough bike for going through the woods, not a tech marvel. Price/value is excellant

Pros: Great price compared to other bikes in its skill class. "Bombproof" aluminum frame worth building on. Deasant ride overall.
Cons: Weighs like a beast. Lots of no-name parts. Plastic pedals. Painful grips. Paint job can chip by looking at it. (same as most of Diamondback's product line)
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: Over the last few years, I have replaced every part on my Sorrento. It proved to be a great learning experience and eliminated the fear of screwing up something more expensive down the line. Now I'm more confident in doing my own tune-ups and repairs. I also rebuilt my Diamondback to suit my riding style which "off the shelf" just doesn't cover. In addition, I've purchased higher quality, yet lighter parts, however, the frame/fork is really where the weight is at. If you're looking for an ultra-light rig, then this is definitely not it. After cutting the total component weight in half, the bike still weighs-in at a modest 29lbs. Adding a rigid fork could shave a bit more off but I'm satisfied with the Spinner suspension fork. Any lighter than this would indicate the need for possibly a road/hybrid bike instead. (or spending well over this price point)

Pros: Frame is a tank, components above average. Under $300. Flipped it head over heals and it landed 15'; away nothing was wrong with it.
Cons: It is a little heavy and not great for jumping. Can still have mini air fun, though.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I just got this bike, '06 model(yellow), and I have been all over the desert. This bike goes up, down, and side to side great. Gears respond quickly so those unexpected obstacles don't stop your ride. Feels very sturdy underneath you. Trying to get my wife the women's '06 model.

Pros: Sturdy frame, performs well on all surfaces
Cons: heavy, seatpost keeps slipping, cheap components
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: Maybe I'm missing something here, but this bike rocks. I've been riding for many years and this is the best ride I've had in a while. I go through singletracks, gravel, water, mud etc. I've even raced with it. The headset was loose when I bought it and I switched out a lot of components after a while like tires, pedals and cranks. Great value, great bike.

Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: I would recomend to a friend or a beginner, but not for an advanced or aggressive rider.

Pros: Double wall rims, Kenda Klaw tires, pretty light. Holding up in wet weather and on singletracks.
Cons: cheap pedals, cheap saddle, fork is pretty good but makes knocking sound at times
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: For the price this is a great bike. I've been riding for 20 years and seen all kinds of bikes. I changed the pedals and seat and it out-performs my previous iron horse bike. Spinner pre-load fork fork works good enough. The double wall rims are an asset and the tires grip well. I can do light jumps with it. The cranks are holding up so far which is a plus. Some upgrades are in order to handle rough terrain. I'm 6' 200 lbs. Slick looking bike. Recommend.
