Pros: the modern bottom bracket and Genesis geometry (paint scheme and decals are awesome).
Cons: rims, headset, handlebar grips and pedals could be better not made in USA (Taiwan)
Time Used: Just Once
Comments: Today I picked up a used model that is several years old, and it rides great! The saddle is a bit harsh for stock, but its not intolerable. I especially enjoy the paint scheme. I''ll probably use it on dirt roads.

Pros: Fantastic frame geometry, acceptable components for the price.
Cons: Could have been a bit cheaper, stock saddle blows.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: Paid $440 for it which seems to be the going rate in the shops around here. Mine is bone stock except for replacing the saddle with a new more comfy Bontrager CRZ+Comfort. Mostly been riding XC and single track but it's been a blast as I get back into the sport. Love the bike, and plan on upgrading components as needed. Great entry level bike.

Pros: This bike was steady on the trails when I rode it. It was fun riding this bike!
Cons: The pedals aren't that great, and the tires popped frequently. I guess I kinda deserved what i got with the tires cuz I tried riding it for stuff it probably shouldn't have been put through. However, the tires popped a lot.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I owned this bike a couple months ago, but unfortunutely, it was stolen. However, when I did ride- it handled fairly well.

Pros: Nice shocks. I need twenty character in pros but can't come up with that many
Cons: Quality is awful!!!
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: In the shop 5 times before it rode like it should, It felt like there was sand in the bearings when climbing hills. The pedals broke the first weak. The chain now skips even after cleaning. I am afraid to take it on a trail for fear of being stranded

Pros: Genesis geometry, durable, affordable,
Cons: little heavy
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: i love this bike. I picked one up from my lbs for 400 bucks for an 05. it can take a beating. my favorite thing is the Genesis geometry, mostly meaning it has a longer top tube, which is great since i have a long torso. if i got another bike that fit my torso, it would be way to tall and one accident and there would be no kids in my future. if you're looking into getting into mtb on a budget, definately give this bike a try

Pros: Price and performance. Great for beginners or intermediates.
Cons: Can sometimes be a little heavy. If you buy it new-check out the tubes first...
