Pros: Solid frame, drivetrain and suspension. Great hyd brakes. SRAM triggers are cool once you get used to them. Why pay 1400 when this thing is onyl 850?
Cons: OEM tires are a little on the weak side for strength and grip. I took this thing out throught the steep hills covered in muddy ruts, rocks and streams and was only about 60% satisfied with the tires. They will probobly be ok though for someone who isn't trying to break something everytime they go out.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I have the 05 with the EXR Pro shocks and Hyd brakes. Awesome suspension, brake and drivetrain combo. SRAM shifters and rear derailleur are great. I replaced the rear tire after a couple of rides beacuse the technical trails, hills and ruts took the sidewall with it. Air/oil shocks and adjustments work great. As with any bike change the stem and/or seat combo for your preferance and this thing is only a step below race level.

Pros: Disc Brakes, nice frame, good componets for the price.
Cons: cheap ass chain stay guard, Iffy tires, would like a better bar and stem combo
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: very good bike at the price. The brakes are absolutly sick. Im six two and one eighty five and have no problems with the manitou fork as some do. I turn the preload all the way up and rarely if ever bottom out . the sucker sure does leak grease though. Maybe Im not rough enough on it but my bruises and breaks say I am!!

Pros: big bang--little buck. The entire package rocks.. even has disk brakes. The split seat is aggresive yet sheltering.
Cons: I killed the soft tires pretty quickly
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: I made my dad buy the exact same bike. nothing compares. All I've done to it is add bar-ends and replace the rear tire.

Pros: Corners, climbs, and brakes like a champ. It is the best value bike I've seen yet. The Marzo air shocks and Avid disk brakes are great touches to this bike.
Cons: Need more aggresive tires and clipless pedals.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I've put about 200 miles of riding on my Rainer and it hasn't shown any mercy. No matter what terrain you ride on, its handling is consistent.

Pros: Definatly a MUST BUY for your money. You get a 1200 dollar bike for 650-750. The brakes will flip you they are so strong. The front for is a great air Marzo. Components are all good
Cons: Change the pedals out as soon as you buy the bike. Hopefully at bike shop if they will let you. Seat isnt that comfortable but I upgraded the post to a Rox Shock and it is MUCH better.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Overall this bike is a Great bike. I dont have one complaint. It handles well, corners well, and climbs like a goat on speed. Very satisfied with it.

Pros: The disc brakes are incredible in all weather. The bomber shocks work really well. All other hardware is worth the price. Can take quite a beating. Great for singletrack.
Cons: Upgrade pedals to clip ins. Tires need replacing. Seat is fairly hard, but still good.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: This bike is amazing. I use it on real technical and rocky terrain and it performs well. I ride on hilly, sandy trails, and i couldn't be happier. Take the bike on jumps and it's fantastic. When you get this bike, and you should, you won't ever want to get off.

Pros: Disc brakes, good fork (when working), clipless pedals on '03 model , 27 speeds
Cons: My fork had a defect and acted strangely but once it is fixed/replaced it will work better.
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: There is no way you can ignore the incredible price on this bike. It's a solid bike that will get you where you want to go and take you through technical stuff.
