Pros: Solid feel in all off road conditions. Climbs very well and stable at speed. Very good balance.
Cons: Major improvement on prior Litespeed MTBs I have ridden. Only con is it is now out of production.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: I have had 2 Merlin XLMs. One I took on assignment in Switzerland for 2 years and sold there before returning. The other I rode in Big Bear Lake for 2 years. The XLM was lighter but fragile. It would get dents from rocks. The Litepeed is by far a better ride. Handles great and the 6/4 Ti is a noticeable improvement. I can''t find anything wrong with this bike.
Rating: 5
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
