Pros: For starters made in the u.s.a The IFT is probably one of the lightest aluminum "hardies" (that''s the nickname for hardtail bikes) out in the market today. There are lighter ones out there made of titanium or carbon fiber but these would be in a different price league. What this gives you a headstart in keeping the overall weight of your bike to a minimum. Translation, it''s so much easier to actually climb a steep incline using this bike. The Indian Fire Trail''s welcomes you with a fairly aggressive riding position. It wants you to bend your elbows and keep your back flatter than on a trails bike. fox 32 F100RL 100mm fork triple butted M6 aluminum frame hayes stroker carbon hydraulic discs shimano XT rear mech !! Cons: maybe the rims might need to be changed out due to my fierce riding...but so far so good...... Time Used: Less Than A Month Comments: The best aluminum frame Marin make features on the Indian Fire Trial and combines stunning sculpted looks with exceptional performance on the trail. The frame uses an exotic mix of alloys including magnesium to deliver the best possible ride characteristics. MBA Magazine said "The ride quality and bump absorption are a marked improvement over the vast number of aluminum hardies. This is a bike a trail rider could ride and enjoy for years and years". As well on the road, put some nice slicks on there with some knobbys on the side of the tire and you can keep up with the road riders as well. Just lock in the shocks and your good to go on the road. Killer bike !!!!!!!!!
Cons: none as of yet...made a mistake on the first review in regards to "Would you recommend this to a friend? " yes i would. but the reason i said no on the first review is because i want this bike all for myself !!!!!!!!! lol !
