Pros: The pros for this bike I would say are its speed and relatively cheapness.
Cons: ONLY a beginner bike and pretty heavy for a mountain bike.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: I would strongly recommend the mongoose rockadile sx for someone looking into the sport of mountain biking and not up to spending a fortune on a first bike. If you become better you will deffinitely want to upgrade to a new bike.

Cons: Kenda tubes. keep going down when there is no punture????

Pros: *Cheap *good handling *Light *Strong *looks good
Cons: *Tubes *suspension a tiny bit stiffThats about it!
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: This is the 2004 Shiny blue and Silver Rockadile SX, not the 2003 or earlier SX which is said to be heavy and unreliable. The 2004 onwards rockadile have been made a lot better and recieved more positive feedback. This bike handles brilliantly and copes well offroad. Only problem is that the stupid Kenda tubes cant hold air very well. But apart from that it is a brilliant bike and good value to

Pros: Strong Frame
Cons: Heavy, rims could be better.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: This is a great bike to start with, some modifications are possible with it, but no matter what it will always be a heavy bike. Capable of doing some really fun off road stuff, but a pain to carry up hill. For the money its worth it, but if you plan on getting serious this is not the bike for you.

Pros: price, frame looks good, geometry, cheapest bike you can actually use off road
Cons: everything except the frame' (it flexs easily)
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: the only person you should consider buying this bike is someone new to this sport. If you ride at all you will quickly become good enough to ride stuff that the parts can not handle. The only problem I have with the frame is flex . laterally its a wet noodle. which keeps it from being wortwhile to build up.

Pros: Good bike to start with. Basic components and good price.
Cons: Low end rear derailleur. no name front fork, and cheap plastic pedals.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: I bought this bike to see if I would like mtn. biking. It is a good bike to start with, but once you get better at the sport you will be looking for something more. Now that the Mongoose company sells bikes in WalMart I am not to sure of the quality of their bikes they sell in the real bike shops. Get only if you are starting out or if you don't have alot of cash to spend.
