Pros: Price. Good value. If you are looking for a solid bike to take trail riding on weekends this is a good choice.
Cons: Handlebar grips keep coming lose.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: Bike is what it is; An entry level MTB with servicable components. For the money it performs extremely well. I ride single track and MTB trails in northern Michigan and it handles the mud and terrain just fine. Has held up well, no significant problems so far.

Pros: After riding this bike throughout the Himalayas of Northern India for one year I can say it is an excellent everyday ride. It has been put through just about every type of ride and has always come home in one piece
Cons: the seat, stock tires, and stock "V" brake pads had to be replaced.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: I have ridden this bike on single cow tracks, up and down mountains. Plus it has survived some of the worst roads in the world. It has been to altitudes of 14,000 feet, and in snow and on ice. I have owned six mountain bikes in Northern India and this has pleased me the most.

Pros: AWESOME beginner bike! Solid, smooth, dependable, predictable shifting; this bike does what I ask of it every time!! (Also less $$ than other brands)
Cons: Not one complaint, I have advanced to intermediate level on this bike and am now shopping for a full suspension, though I will probably still ride this one occasionally just because I enjoy it so much!
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: Got the Trek 4500 because it was less $$ than the Fisher Tassajara that I wanted, now I'm SO GLAD!!! Bought a Tass. later for hubby and have had major problems!! (Front shock died on FIRST RIDE, still waiting for warranty replacement, plus chain suck problems)My bike shop has been awesome, and maybe we just got a "lemon" bike but I still would not recommend the Tassajara.

Pros: Frame, Front Suspension, and a good deal.
Cons: Crankset and Alivio derauliers.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: The Bontrager crankset is not very sturdy, my middle chain ring got bent a little while after I bought the bike. Otherwise, this is an excellent bike. it is highly affordable and can suit anyone's needs.
