Pros: -lightweight (around 21 lbs stock for the Hemi pro XL Team ''05) -Very nice looking aluminum frame in dark matte red (but fragile paint) -Super soft grips -Durable hubs (and Flip flop rear hub) -light and good rims with CNC''d brake surface -Super good rear brake! -Brakes awesomely even with a lot of dirt and rain (I changed the brake pads for a pair of Kool Stop)
Cons: -I''ve toasted the BB bearings after 2-3 months (It was replaced for free because of the warranty. I''ve got those for 3 years and they are now ready to be changed) -Pedals are made from magnesium and are good looking, but they only have one bearing, wich is not logical in my opinion! -My left pedal was always a bit loose, even if it was well tightened. So I changed them when I got fed up with''em. -I had to replace the seat post because it was to short for my prferences -I replaced the seat because it was painful on the ass. -The chain was streched after about 6 months.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: After doing 15 years of freestyle, I transfered to a race BMX. I bought the Hemi pro XL Team ''05. At that time, for a complete bike, the overall was better than a Haro or GT team model. I was kind of a newbie in the racing BMX world, and living in Montreal (Quebec), I didn''t have as much choices as in the USA and I didn''t want to pay more than 1000$(US) ... knowing that I would have to replace some stock parts as always. So this complete bike was a good deal for me and after changing a few parts (tires, brake pads, seat, seatpost), I was veeerrry satisfied with it! And when a stock part broke or was too used, I changed it for better quality and less weight! My bike weights now around 18 lbs and it feels so good to fly in the air!! I would recommend it to a friend... But Specialized stopped making this model after 2005.

Pros: Absoluely stunning to look at, good quality hubs, crank, frame etc.
Cons: urm, hang on a sec, aha some grips dont stick to the bars right if you use the wrong type of glue.
Time Used: More than 2 years
Comments: To be honest I dont think specialized sold many of these, but it is about 17 times better than the comp, which quite frankly is rubbish. I wouldnt recommend it to a friend cuz then hed have one too and id be jealous.
