very simple in design, very strong, long travel, soft when you bottom out, you can hardly notice that you've hit bottom if you have the red rubber bottom out bushing, turning radius is more than most. very adjustable, travel and damping. If you follow the adustment instructions exactly the damping is very adjustable, and very fast and easy to do, you can fine tune the rebound to the T.
Cons:
service is off and on, I've gotten parts in 4 days and I've also been waiting for 3 months and still nothing. They have changed their design so many times (for the better I have to say) that it is hard to understand which one you have,(hard for them to understand too)

I got the fork off ebay and the guy said that the damper blew out on him and Hanebrink replaced it, but I haven't had any problems out of it, and I'm doing some pretty big drops (14'). I wonder if people have their comp. damping to tight, it says in the manual not to close it all the way or damage will result. if you buy a set used make sure you ask a lot of questions, the newest version is nice, the crowns are wider 8-5/8 and thicker, the legs are thicker, they went to a 20mm solid thru axle, the legs have a lot better aluminum wiper seal and infection port. I had a set of the coke can leg forks with the plastic snap in wiper seal and the 7-5/8" crowns and I think they were designed for cross country, but the new crowns and legs are pretty sweet. I think they need to get more organized at the company and they need to admit that the older versions stink and Dan should spend some money to promote his new product, and he will be back in the game, Good Luck Dan! I would recommend them to a friend for the right price.

Pros:
This is an update to my review below. I used to believe in this fork. I thought it was very stiff, plush fork. I only did about 6 rides this spring before I blew out the dampening on the fork. I was only doing some trail riding, I hit a rock as you would normally and the dampening exploded. I am not going to waste my time or money fixing this piece of crap after it broke so easily.
Cons:
Where do I start? Well, for one the front tire is nearly impossible to take on /off because it was Hanebrinks bright idea to make the spring leg 2 inches longer than the dampening. This fork looks tough, draws attention but it is really a delicate prissy fork, very unreliable. I was shocked when I broke the dampening last week cuz now I am screwed until I buy a new fork- this is a major setback.

I don't see how this company is in business. There is a reason no bike shops carry this fork- too many problems, that is why everything is direct. Also, I called up Hanebrink and told them this fork broke under minor stress. I told them I wasn't doing any crazy 10' to flat and I was told that the factory warranty doesn't cover everyday riding- whatever that means. I am going to buy a Marzocchi because I had one on my old bike and it was a zero maintenance fork, plush travel. Bottom line, these forks are garbage. For a fork that boasts 9" of travel, it sure broke easily.

Pros:
Plush, bottomless travel.
Cons:
Stiff- takes a lot to compress this fork. Lack of adjustments, no oil bath. This fork feels like a rigid fork when climbing- no bobbing at all- you really have to throw your weight over it to compress- mine has 9" of travel and I can only compress about 6-7" of it.

If you are going to pay a lot for one of these, don't.
I would much rather have a monster T or Boxxer because they are reliable and more adjustable. Yeah, this thing is monster and it DOES turn heads when you are rollin' but I have heard enough horror stories of these forks breaking. Overall, I think this is an average fork- I am scared to take it apart to adjust but oh well.

trash your rockshock, rst, manitou, and white bros. these are the greatest forks out on the market. the inverted shock gives you the max. there almost indestructable. and the price you cant beat. they run about $899.00. you could buy two pair for the price of a boxxer, shiver or that over rated peice of sh!t the sherman.
