Climbs like a scalded cat up a tree. Quick and nimble in the turns, able to leap tall obsticles in a single bound. If I had those skills, that is!
Cons:
A bit heavier than I expected but the efficiency of the frame more than makes up for that.

I came from a K2 hard tale, and man have I been blown away.
This is a pricy ride, especially now that they have broken it to two models, the XC and the LT.
I have the single design 2005 model with 4.5" of rear travel the new LT has over 6"... OUCH!
My buddie on the LT says it's like riding in an old Buick... it's so smooooth. I can't imagine how you could have improved on the 2005 but it looks like Santa Cruz has done it.

i've done a bunch of rides and a few adventure races on the Blur. I'm six foot, and am riding a medium, which is a tad small, but i think keeps the bike a litte lighter and stiffer. the large is a big frame. when you're in the saddle and hammering, there is no susp. bob. its pretty cool. the minute you're off the saddle and the chain is de-tensioned, the frame bobs. most folks don't climb out of the saddle on MTBs anyway...

OK, I haven't ridden it more than a mile yet, but the demo I rode was unbelievable. It is super plush yet super stiff. HUH? I don't get it either, but the thing works. AWESOME!
