The top race and cups are made from 7075-T6 aluminum, CNC machined, that is hard anodized to resist corrosion . The Crown race is stainless steel with upper and lower double sealed bearings. If that wasn’t enough, there is an additional lower seal that is Teflon water backed with a Butyl Nitral O-ring spring. Almost frictionless. Specify Color: Silver or Black. Specify Diameter: 1 or 1 1/8 “.

Pros:
Cannot be penetratedby dirt. Super-tight tolerances.
Cons:
Rubber-sealed bearings: rubber seals are not as long-lived as metal seals. However, rubber seals are more effective than metal seals (i.e. like the one's used on King bearings). Rubber-sealed bearings are better protected.
Customer service? Syncros is temporarily out of business, perhaps.
Time Used:
More than 2 years
Comments:
Obviously, Chris King is the standard for headset design and quality. And I think the Syncros headset surpasses King. Dirt, grit, grime, mud do not penetrate into this headset....not into the upper bearing cup. Not even into the lower bearing cup. I can't think of another headset that stays clean on the inside as wel as the Syncros. And THAT is what promotes headset life. Quality of materials AND how clean they can stay inside.
