Pros: + Small size and weight + Bright, although not suitable as an offroad headlamp + Quick release mounting
Cons: - Not completely indestructible - Price
Time Used: Less Than A Month
Comments: I purchased this light just after Christmas and had it until recently this morning. I was impressed with its small size and minimal weight, which are important to me as a mostly urban cylist. The light, like most LED lamps was pretty bright, although I feel that my previous main lamp, the Cateye HL-EL110 was brighter. The quick release mechanism works well, but could be hassle to put back on if one is wearing gloves (although I experienced no problems with it). Unfortunately, I had the misfortune to hit an unseen rock whilst biking semi-offroad this morning. I rolled straight over my handlebars, landing on my back with only the slightest injuries (thanks to the armour I was wearing). Unfortunately, as my bike rolled over my Cateye HL-EL400 was crushed between the ground and the handlebars, smashing the case into several pieces. This wouldn't have happened if the body was aluminium, and although the price would have been pushed up slightly, the weight would have remained about the same, and durability would have been greatly increased. Overall, I love this lamp. I just wish mine was stil around. I'm currently saving for a new one...

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
