Average Rating:

It is easy to see why this post won a Consumer’s Choice Award on MTBR.com. Without exception it is everything you could possibly want in a seatpost. Featuring a 10 deg layback to allow riders to get in a more comfortable position. 330mm long.

Pros: Strong, bulletproof, infinitely adjustable, beautifully made, light weight even compared to carbon.
Cons: Can be a little tricky to adjust at first, but worth the small effort.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: I use Thompson posts on all 3 of my bikes. Never a single issue with a bolt coming loose or any other failure. I weigh 225 lbs, so strength is very important to me and my private parts. I would NEVER trust carbon fiber or cheap steel or poorly made aluminum posts. Thompson is justifiably proud of their products.

Pros: Light weight yet very strong and rigid. Solid, über-adjustable 2-bolt hardware. It just doesn''t get any better than this!
Cons: Nope, I can''t think of any!
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: With my old 1-bolt post I quickly learned to always carry a spare bolt in case of breakeage. After a couple of years of replacing sheared bolts usually mid-race and deep in mosquito infested bush, I finally decided my boys deserved better! This post is bullet-proof, squeak-proof, and way easier on the guy parts. Highly recommended for heavier riders.

Recommendation: No I would not recommend it to a friend
