Pros: Really light, and very fast and has good forks for the cost.. great value at only $1,800 and has a good look about it.
Cons: Some things are a big plastic and can brake easily, eg: suspension lock out, also the brakes and gear changes are the two things that i have had to get repaired as they have broken or got some kind of dirt in their.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: Overall i think the bike was really good and last year i was riding it nearly every day and racing once a week. It has held up well and definitely is a good buy.

Pros: Its a sweet bike for racing and stuff, i got it cuase i was getting into the wors series and it is sweet. It is great for cross country
Cons: Once i started to drop off stuff and do jumps with it, it didnt take the beating too much. It is a sweet bike, just not for freeride.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: I think i might get a giant faith for the freeridin', those things rip

Pros: Fast, Light, good value on major components.
Cons: Giant got cheap with some on the less noted parts. The spokes are crap. The hex bolts rust, even on the avid brakes. The Titec X-wing seat post is lethal. My exploded on a flat street in the middle of heavy traffic. Hutchison Python tires are always flat.
Time Used: 1 Year
Comments: Solid frame. Good components if you only look at the big ticket ones. I had problems with the crank and the suspension fork as well. My Giant dealer was a jerk to deal with. I only got help when I contacted a factory rep.

Pros: Excellent fit and finish, high quality components, higher quality than others in the price range, light and durable.
Cons: Very few. My model had the matte finish (2003 model year), which is prone to scratching and doesn't have the diamond-coat clear coat finish.
Time Used: 6 Months
Comments: This bike is so light and fast that it took me a couple of rides to get used to it. The handling and steering are incredibly quick and smooth, and it's light weight makes it easier for you to maneuver out of hairy situations. The stock clipless pedals perform well, as do the brakes. Overall, an excellent quality, durable performer, perfect for someone who's getting serious about mountain biking and wants a bike worth the price, and worth upgrading down the road.

Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
