Pros: This is the solo-air version. Stiff, plush air fork, not too heavy(magnesium lowers), only 2090 grams. This fork is good value for money, as the RS Recon is much more expensive but is only 200g lighter, for the same performance. Motion control makes climbs heaps faster while soaking up small rocks and bumps. This fork is great as you can adjust the compression of the fork by adding or removing air. The negative air chamber(for small bump sensitivity) is filled at the same time, and makes it simpler to setup than the RS Reba. The 318 has taper wall stanchions which reduce weight compared to the rest of the Tora range. Durable fork, gives a great deal of control over cheaper simple oil damped forks. Also has remote lockout and motion control, features normally found on high end RS forks.
Cons: It's not the lightest XC fork. No bling factor.
Time Used: 3 Months
Comments: Good mid range fork, will last a long time, indestructible 32mm chromoly stanchions that won't get scratched. The 318 u-turn version of this fork is 300g heavier.
Rating: 4
Recommendation: Yes I would recommend it to a friend
