COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (April 28, 2003) – USA Cycling announced Monday that the 24 Hour NORBA National Championship has been relocated to Spokane, Wash. and will be held in conjunction with the "ROUND THE CLOCK" 24 Hour Mountain Bike Race.

The 24 Hour NORBA National Championship will take place on Memorial Day weekend May 24-25, 2003 at Riverside State Park in Spokane, WA.  Riverside State Park is located twenty minutes from downtown Spokane.

The "ROUND THE CLOCK" 24-hour race has been an established race promoted by Round and Round, promoters of many NORBA Nationals and World Cups.  Round and Round will promote the Schweitzer Mtn. National event scheduled for July 26-27, 2003.

"It is exciting to have such a quality promotions company step forward to take on this event," commented Eric Moore, National Field Operations Director for USA Cycling.

Riders can expect a well-stocked venue at this year’s race.  On the schedule of events is rider support from Nite Rider Lighting Systems, a midnight feeding frenzy and post event pasta feed.  The venue also has plenty of camping available at the Start/Finish area.

Gino Lisecki of Round and Round noted- "As we say around here, the freaks come out at night, and the 24-hour experience is one of a kind".  When asked about the 11.5 mile course, Wendy Zupan of Round and Round said it best- "To quote the rock gods KISS, rock and roll all night, and party every day".
