DirtWorld.com and RSS Feeds
DirtWorld.com has recently added an RSS data feed for your convenience. In case you are new to RSS, here is a description of what RSS is and how to use it.
What Is RSS?
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication" and it allows Web sites to let you know when new content has been posted. The new headlines can be viewed in an RSS reader or displayed on other web sites as a form of content syndication.
What it means for individual users: With an RSS reader like NetNewsWire, Abilion, Pluck, and NewsGator, you will be able to create your own custom newspaper of recent content. The readers described above are just a few of the many RSS readers that allow you to subscribe to RSS feeds on your favorite Web sites.
RSS Readers
In order to subscribe to and read RSS feeds, you need a reader program that allows you to see the content. Most readers look like an e-mail program, listing RSS sites on the left (sometimes grouped in folders called channels), each site's headlines at the top right and the current headline and story at the bottom right. The differences among readers usually come down to what options they support and how fast they run. Below is a sampling of available readers.
How to subscribe to RSS feeds
Thousands of sites with RSS feeds are listed on sites such as Syndic8 (www.syndic8.com) and NewsIsFree (www.newsisfree.com). They usually advertise their feeds on their home pages with a small orange button labeled "RSS" or "XML," short for the "eXtensible Markup Language" used to publish the feed.
Unfortunately, you can't just click that button to subscribe. You must right-click it -- on a Mac, hold down the Ctrl key as you click -- to copy the link's address, then paste it into your newsreader. If you are using the newsgator reader, right-click and chose "subscribe in newsgator".

Once you have your RSS reader, you can subscribe to the following DirtWorld.com RSS Feed:

Syndicate DirtWorld.com's Articles
DirtWorld articles can now be syndicated quickly and easily on your Web site. It is the simplest way to add new headlines.
So go ahead and use our RSS feeds to create more headlines. But, a few rules:
1) You cannot publish the full text of our articles. Only one line of each article can be used.
2) You must also properly reference "DirtWorld.com" as the source in text either with the logo image we've included in the RSS code, or in text. Use of the DirtWorld logo is limited to the source attribution for the RSS feeds only.
We reserve the right to revoke RSS syndication privileges at any time, for any reason.
And let us know where your site is and how we can make these feeds even more user-friendly.
