This trail ascends ski slopes to a restaurant with a view
This is an easily accessible ride near Breckenridge on a road closed to autos. The road climbs up the ski area to a restaurant with great views of the entire area.
From the parking lot, ride back down the road toward Breckenridge and turn right on a road with a red gate and a "Road Closed" (to cars) sign across it. Bear left, climb to the bottom of Chairlift 2 and turn right where the road forks. Climb to the end of the road at the Vista Haus restaurant and return as you came.
How to get there:
From Denver, follow I-70 West for 65 miles to the Frisco exit. Follow Highway 9 for ten miles to Breckenridge. From Main Street and Ski Hill Road, drive up Ski Hill Road past Peak 8 (where the road turns to dirt) to the Peaks Trailhead.
