Trail Description:
Something for everyone! Fun singletrack intimately associated with desert flora (cholla cactus, mesquite). Lots of variety depending on the trail, including an area called The Chutes. Picture a natural bobsled-like run for mountain bikes! Trail connects with Catalina State Park, a great place to camp, and yet be only minutes from Tucson.
How to get there:
From Tucson, drive north on Oracle Road (Highway 89) for six miles to Catalina State Park (there is an $8 fee to park at the trailhead overnight). The Romero Canyon Trail begins in the park's day use area.
