Trail Description:
Trail is a old rail line, very easy ride. Any bike can do it.There are quite a few trails that lead off the main that do look worth exploring. Trail runs from Meaford to Collingwood approx 35km.I was lucky too spot Deer crossing the trail near the collingwood section while i was riding it. The view to the north from the trail u get some great views of Georgian Bay and to the south u get fantastic views of Blue Mountain.Collingwood section runs very close to Hwy26 so its not as quite as the Meaford end. Meaford end starts or ends in the harbour and there u will find a chip wagon with amazing fries.Plenty of parking on both ends of trail. Very well maintained trail with distance markers. Extremely scenic trail that u cant get lost on. I would highly recemend this trail to those that just want a easy, long scenic ride. There were plenty of places i came across for food and something to drink along the trail so bring some money.
How to get there:
take Hwy10 north to Hwy89. West to Hwy24. Take Hwy24 north all the way up to collingwood to Hwy26.If u want to start in collingwood turn left(west) on Hwy26 and on your right (about 1km or so) u will see a bike shop. I was told by the bike shop to park behind there store, plenty of parking. The trail started right here. To start in Meaford contine west on Hwy26 to Meaford(35km) Look for the harbour on your right. Trail starts on east side of harbour.
Additional Notes:
I started my ride in collingwood and noticed while entering meaford it was a pleasent descent all th
