Trail Description:
This trail winds up and down through the coulees of the South Saskatchewan River. Before even attempting this ride slime in your tires is an absolute necessity, between the cactus and the rattle snakes your tires will be flat before your back to your vehicle without it. This ride offers lots of climbing, descending and side hill riding, lots of the ups and downs are fairly steep and technical, and the trails are narrow. The track is all dirt and can either be great or lousy for traction depending on the amount of rainfall at the time, usually loose dirt conditions.
How to get there:
In South Eastern Alberta the town of Bow Island is located 35 miles west of the city of Medicine Hat on Highway #3. From Bow Island you travel west 3 miles on highway #3 and turn north on secondary highway #879 travel about 2 miles and watch for cattle corrals on right side of road, and park on the approach at the corrals, and bike from there.
