Trail Description:
A rocky trail where the heat in the summer can be a challenge. Crossing Mortensen wash may be difficult during the rainy season, watch for flash floods. Follow Juniper Ridge Trail #640 signs.

How to get there:
From the Flagstaff area, head East on I-40 93 miles to Holbrook. Head South on Hwy 77 to Show Low. From the Phoenix/Tempe area, go East to Hwy 60 and follow North to Show Low. From downtown Show Low, head west 2 miles. Take a right on AZ 260 towards Payson-Heber. Continue on for 9.9 miles. Turn left onto Old Highway 160, another 2 miles to the trailhead on the right. You will pass the Juniper Ridge Lookout Road.
