Trail Description:
Guanica State Forest, hot, aired beautiful ride.

One suggested loop is LLUBERAS, CUEVA, road 333, BALLENA, 12km aprox. These are wide trails (with even a short road march) most of the trails are well marked, composed of rocky limestone ledges.

When you leave the parking lot, the first 0.5km will be a slight downhill grade until you reach the DINAMITA trail turn off. Then 2km uphill grade to GRANADOS turn off, then you have sweet downhill to the beach, look out cable stretch across trail just before you reach the beach. At the beach the 3km-road march will begin. Be careful not to miss the turn-off to BALLENA trail, there is no sign, just look green gate on your right. Then it 2km uphill grade, back to the parking lot.

How to get there:
Guanica is between Mayaguez and Ponce in the southwest of the island. Take Highway 2 to Road 116, and then take Road 116 to Road 334. The entrance to the forest and the parking area is on the left.

Additional Notes:
You will need to check in at the gate, the attendants are quite helpful, they will give you maps
