Trail Description:
At 6.4 miles into Mary's Loop there is a hard left turn down a two track road. This is the start of Steve's Loop, which is another spur loop off of Kokopelli's/Mary's Loop to the south. The loop should be done in a counterclockwise manner. Start off the two track, constantly bearing to the right. It will dead end at mile 1.1 where a single track starts, by way of a very technical steep descent to the bench below. After following the single track around the rim of the canyon, you come to a box canyon hike-a-bike at mile 1.7. Coming out of the box canyon there are technical moves with related danger. At mile 2.5 the trail begins crossing a creek bottom heading back up towards the starting point of the loop, with a very challenging and technical climb out to the finish. You then rejoin Kokopelli's/Mary's Loop just before the juncture with Lion's Loop.

How to get there:
Take I-70 to the Loma Exit (Exit #15). Cross over the interstate to the south. At the access road turn right, heading towards the weigh station. Just short of the weigh station, turn left and follow the frontage road for approximately .5 mile until you come to the parking area. Another way to reach this trail is to take I-70 to the Mack exit. Cross under the Interstate to the south and turn left on gravel frontage road. Follow frontage road for approximately 1 mile. Park at bottom of steep hill in Lion's Loop parking area. Follow signs for Mary's and Lion's Loops up hill. Upon reaching junction of Lion's Loop, stay to the left. Trail begins 1/3 mile off of this road to the right.

Additional Notes:
Impassable when muddy
