Trail Description:
Starting at the gate to Elk Creek Campground take the fire road for 15 minutes to the trailhead; well-signed, with a steep climb for the first .5 mile. Big views and no signs of life (besides elk and coyote dung). Take the trail west until encountering the intersection at Kings Mtn. Turn around here or continue through Lees's camp to the west portion of this ride.

How to get there:
Take Highway Six west from Portland to the Elk Creek Campground. Park at the gate near Hwy. 6 (in winter) or drive to the campground.

Additional Notes:
Lots of debris on trail in January but well worth it!!
