Trail Description:
Satterfield Trails has one main trail going up the mountain with a couple of minor trails branching off. This is a nice little trail to get away. Not too technical, but has nice views and will make you work hard. Once you reach the top of the mountain, you can ride along a road (and back down another way) or keep going. There is a very steep and large natural "half pipe" that you can ride.
How to get there:
From I-15 exit Pocatello Creek and go East (right if going North on 15). Turn North (left) onto Satterfield. You will climb the mountain and wind around. When the road levels out look to your right and along one of the streets (I think it is Butte Street), and you'll see a trail ascending. Park on the road and go ride. The first 50 yards or so are through a field, but then you'll enter the trees. You can also get there by bike by travelling up the government access road.
Additional Notes:
Occassionally there are hikers on the lower parts of the trails. Share.
