Trail Description:
Old C&O Railroad bed running ~ 80 miles from Cass West Virginia to Caldwell West Virginia. The trail follows the Greenbrier River and provides a nice trip for the beginner with tunnels, bridges and great scenery.
How to get there:
Access on the South End of the Trail - Access to North Caldwell - I-64E take exit 175 to Rt.60W 2.7 miles to Rt. 38 Stone House Rd. I-64W take exit 169 to Rt. 219N then 0.5 miles to Rt. 30 Brush Rd then 0.5 miles to Rt. 38 Stone House Rd.
Access to Anthony - Rt. 219 to Rt. 21 4.9 miles to trail head.
Facilities - Lewishurg and White Sulphur Springs are full service areas with all amenities including outfitters and hospital.
Access on the North End of the Trail - Access to Clover Lick - Rt. 219 to Rt. 1 Back Mountain Road or Rt. 28 to Rt. 1/4 Laurel Creek Rd.
Access to Cass - Rt. 219 to Rt. 66E or Rt. 28 to Rt. 66W.
Facilities - Public phone, water, shopping and lodging in Seneca State Forest and Cass
